Welcome!

Hi! I am Shreyasi Das (pronounced "sreyoshi"). I am a Textile Poet, Hand-Drawn Animator, Lighting & Shading Artist for Feature Films, Animal Portraitist, and Amateur Writer of South Asian descent.
I believe in the power of therapy and transformation through art, with a focus on healing my own chronic illness, rejoicing in my neurodivergence, and participating in environmental stewardship. My hope is that I can lead you to be inspired to heal and celebrate yourself or your community through your own art.
Practicing the above, I have been creating (slowly) from my humble home in the beautiful, ancestral, and unceded homelands of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking peoples (colonially known as Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada). I recently moved to Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and am temporarily pausing the production of new work as I settle here as an uninvited guest.
Art takes Time and Vulnerability. Yet sometimes, I do sell* what I make. I donate a % of my revenue to an environmental education organization - The ChariTREE Foundation*. Most of my tactile work is made with reused (second-hand), recycled, repurposed, or gifted materials with as little waste and as much respect for the environment as possible.
I offer one-on-one hand embroidery lessons for adults in-person or virtually (contact me for more info). For bi-monthly updates on what I have been working on, ramblings about creativity and inspiration, and first-dibs on new art in my shop, please sign up for my Newsletter* Thank you for your time!
(*paused temporarily due to a recent move).
